Faculty of Arts

If you are submitting a proposal from Faculty of Arts you have to submit for internal review first. Include all documents and the Faculty of Arts form linked below. Submit to begibbsv@ucalgary.ca by May 29, 2026.

How to submit

  • All six attachments must be in their original file formats
  • Ensure all sections are completed and you have received appropriate departmental and faculty approvals, including cover page signatures prior to submission.
  • Please refer to the criteria and guidelines for specific instructions.

What is a Global Classroom?

A Global Classroom—formerly Group Study Programs or faculty‑led field schools—is an immersive learning experience centered on globally focused coursework. These programs typically include leading students in travel or global virtual connections, taking your teaching into real‑world settings and connecting course content directly to the destinations you have researched, while ensuring students are connecting academic insight to real-world context.
